Weinheimer Hölle Spätburgunder trocken
Exhibitor
Weingut Meiser
Descripton: Dark red colour. Fruity nose with hints of almond. Full-bodied and velvet pinot noir. This pinot noir has a slightly sweet scent of red fruits, from cherry to blackberry and redcurrant. Smoky, soft tannins, dark berries.
Origin: It comes from the village Weinheim which is a picturesque winemaker’s village with tradition over 1200 years. You can see it in the name “Wein” means “Wine” and “heim” means “home”. It’s a single vineyard selection called “Hölle” which means hell, an old site name. The soil there is red and it’s quite a hot place. Although it is a south faced hill there is always a little wind blowing. It keeps the fruit fresh and sane, while also spending heat for a good ripening. You will find this freshness of fruit in the wine.
