About us
300 YEARS OF GERMAN WINE HERITAGE – SINCE 1725
For more than 300 years, Weingut Volker Barth has stood for authentic German wine from Lonsheim in Rheinhessen. Today, our family winery cultivates 50 hectares of vineyards, combining generations of experience with a modern and international approach to winemaking.
Our philosophy is built around three fundamental values: heritage, terroir and innovation.

The character of our wines begins in the vineyard. The diversity of soils and vineyard sites within our estate provides the foundation for wines with distinctive individual character. We believe that terroir is not simply a technical term, but the connection between soil, site, grape variety and the people who cultivate the vineyards.
FROM CLASSIC TO INNOVATIVE
Our portfolio includes classic German varieties such as Riesling and Grauer Burgunder, as well as distinctive and historic varieties such as Morio Muskat.
At the same time, we look towards the future of viticulture. Our range includes PIWI – resistant grape varieties and premium alcohol-free wines, combining innovation, sustainability and changing consumer preferences.

Our Five Star wine reflects the diversity of our estate in a unique concept: five different grape varieties from five different vineyard sites are brought together in one distinctive wine. Available in both dry and sweet styles and presented in a 375 ml bottle, Five Star offers a different way of experiencing the diversity of German wine.
THE ART OF TIME
Our wine heritage is also expressed through exceptional wines such as our 2009 Eiswein – a reminder that German wine can combine freshness, elegance and remarkable ageing potential.
OUR NEXT CHAPTER: CHINA
China is an important part of our international development. With our own operation in Suzhou and wines already available in China, we have established a local foundation from which to develop long-term partnerships.
At ProWine Shanghai, we are looking to connect with selected Chinese importers, regional distributors and premium wine partners who share our approach to quality, authenticity and long-term brand development.

GRAUER BURGUNDER DRY and SAUVIGNON BLANC DRY

Morio Muskat, dry
A distinctive German aromatic white wine from the traditional Morio Muskat grape, grown in the sun-drenched vineyards of Rheinhessen.
The wine opens with an elegant and expressive muscat character, complemented by delicate floral aromas, elderflower and fresh citrus notes. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and lively, combining aromatic intensity with a crisp and beautifully balanced acidity.
This wine offers a refreshing balance between fragrance, fruit and finesse. The finish is clean, fresh and pleasantly persistent.

2024 REGENT DRY
A distinctive dry Regent from Rheinhessen, combining the character of a modern fungus-resistant grape variety with the richness and structure of a classic German red wine.
