Paulinsberg Riesling Spätlese

The myth of Mosel Spätlese :

No. Spätlese does not mean it is harvested really late. It depends on the year when the grapes are picked. As well as for all other vineyards, twice a week we go on our controls to check the state of the grapes. This is really important during the riping period from September to October. In case of the Spätlese we are looking for high sugar levels with a low proportion of botrytis (<20%).
