In the coolest corner of Rheinhessen, we cultivate our 100% certificated organic- vineyards with passion and in harmony with nature.
Our Rieslings and Pinot Noirs are characterized by a unique terroir—volcanic rock and primeval sea soils give them character and depth.
Our region is still under the radar; you won't find Rieslings with this kind of character anywhere else in Rheinhessen.
You will surely remember our majestic, imposing, elegant whale with its rugged volcanic mountains on its back.

RIESLING "VULKANGESTEIN"
Our Riesling, grown on volcanic rock, thrives today where molten lava flows once coursed some 290 million years ago. Our vines put down deep roots in these weathered, intensely mineral soils! Their hard work pays off! Take a whiff, take a sip, and you’ll know why we love our wild, rugged little corner of Rheinhessen so much. Only for Riesling lovers…
RIESLING "HEERKRETZ"
Our single-vineyard Riesling from the prime section of the Siefersheimer Heerkretz vineyard is the quintessence of this exposed site, meticulous handcrafting, and a great deal of finesse. Hand-harvested from a low-yield crop and fermented with the vineyard’s own yeasts, it is shaped by the rugged, steep slopes of volcanic origin. It is taut, straightforward, and impressively distinctive. It owes its purist elegance and slightly salty notes to the cool climate of the Appelbach Valley.
RIESLING RESERVE HEERKRETZ
Our Riesling Réserve is grown in the heart of our oldest Riesling vineyard, the Siefersheimer Heerkretz. A VDP GG site, set on very stony volcanic rock, steep, with cool nights and a long ripening period.
2016: “The Elegant One.” Delicate, lively, herbaceous, energetic, with a subtle acidity."
PINOT NOIR "HEERKRETZ"
Our Pinot Noir benefits from the unique microclimate of the stony Heerkretz vineyard; the minimal yield from the old vines, the selective hand-harvest, and the 30-month aging period in French barriques form the foundation of our flagship red wine. Herbal spice, grip, and lively elegance paired with the cool minerality of volcanic rock. Focused, refined, with great tension and depth, a powerful tannin structure, enormous length, and exceptional aging potential.
